Bird Watching
Bird watching in Sri Lanka is an incredible experience thanks to the island’s diverse habitats and rich avian biodiversity. With over 500 recorded bird species, including endemic, resident, and migratory birds, Sri Lanka is a birding paradise year-round, especially during the migratory season. Some locations (like Sinharaja) have trained birding guides who can help identify mixed-species flocks. (November to March).
