Dambulla / Sigiriya (Cultural Triangle)
- Most popular location for hot air ballooning.
- Fly over Sigiriya Rock Fortress, Dambulla cave temples, jungles, lakes, and rural villages.
- Best views of wildlife, rice paddies, and ancient ruins.
- Launches typically happen at sunrise for the best weather and views.
Best Time to Go
- November to April – The dry season in central Sri Lanka.
- Morning flights only (typically 5:30 AM – 6:30 AM departures).
- Flights are weather-dependent — cancellations can happen if winds or rain are an issue.
